This month's cover CD contains ten outstanding, high resolution images from the Quadra Photographic library. These images, taken by two of Britain's leading photographers, are copyright-free, meaning that you can use them whenever and however you wish, for creating a brochure, using as catalog backgrounds or even for educational purposes.
They can be used on either a PC or a MAC. The latest versions of Corel Draw and Photoshop enable you to open them directly into these programs. Failing this, you will need a copy of Kodak's "PhotoCD Access" for PC or Mac. This software is low-cost and easily available through most mail order outlets.
Once you've accessed an image, you can use it just as you would any other source material: change the colours, resize it, extract portions of it or merge it with another image to create the desired effect.
The Quadra library contains 300 very usable images on three volumes. Each image is packaged in five different resolutions offering you exceptional resolution in a variety of sizes up to A4.
Each volume is priced at £15 (plus VAT and P&P). By ordering all three volumes at £35 (plus VAT and P&P), you'll enjoy a savings of £10.
